Point your phone at the sky to find and track satellites in real time using augmented reality. Track the ISS, Artemis 2 (Orion), amateur radio satellites, LoRa satellites, and more. Doppler-corrected frequencies based on your location. Free, no account required.
Sat Finder connects over Bluetooth Low Energy to a BTECH UV-Pro or other Benshi-protocol handheld radio and retunes it automatically through a satellite pass. Automatic Doppler correction starts about two minutes before AOS and follows the satellite, putting the corrected downlink on channel A and the corrected uplink on channel B with Dual Watch enabled. The app writes only to the radio's reserved VFO records, never to your saved memory channels, and never keys the transmitter. Requires Android Chrome or Edge over HTTPS (Web Bluetooth); not available on iPhone or iPad. Includes guided pairing help and a full radio troubleshooting guide.
Sat Finder uses your phone's GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and camera to calculate satellite positions and overlay them on a live AR view. Select from categories like Space Stations, Amateur Radio, Weather, Scientific, and Starlink. View upcoming passes with AOS/LOS times and max elevation, set calendar reminders, and preview pass sky tracks.
Common questions about satellite tracking, compass calibration, camera permissions, Doppler correction intervals, and using the app indoors.
Built by Jatin Sharad — a satellite communication enthusiast and member of the Surrey Amateur Radio Communications Society (SARC). Sat Finder is free and designed for ham radio operators and anyone who wants to spot satellites overhead.
